The Silt-Saver (SS-100)  The Silt-Saver has been designed and patented by a land developer who has seen the erosion and sediment problems cost him time and money in terms of maintaining filter boxes in an effective state. The Silt-Saver is a two-piece unit consisting of a polyurethane frame that fits over circular or rectangular vertical storm water pipe openings. The frame provides structural integrity. A non-woven geotextile fabric serves as a frame covering and acts as the sediment-filtering medium. Installation is quick and requires no staking into the ground, concrete or asphalt pavement.
